As the Kerry Crumbles

John Kerry is in a serious bind. First off, there's The Kerry Problem. What's The Kerry Problem? Simply that the more exposure Kerry gets, the less people like him. Some of Kerry's best poll numbers came when he went on vacation, out of the public eye for a week. On the other hand, he has been pummelled in the last month by some very serious charges. And he has been involved in a media blackout ever since. The last time he sat down for an interview before a camera was on August 1, 2004, on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace (transcript here). We are now at Day #35 of the Kerry Blackout. And until it ends, the Kerry Plummet will continue.

If truth were on your side--if the charges by the Swifties were false--then the logical thing to do would be to go before the cameras and patiently answer every last question.

But the truth is not on Kerry's side. Hence, the Kerry Blackout and the Kerry Plummet will continue.

The debates should be most interesting!
